You forget that the point of a pole is to *NOT* touch things with it. Therefore, the length is meaningless as long as one is not touching things with it, one's distance from the offensive thing may well be a great deal more. In fact, one might argue that the reduced length makes it far less likely that an offensive thing may be touched by it, therefore, a ten foot pole is much more effective and hence, better, than a 28 foot pole at NOT touching things. How do you like them apples?

less surface area. Oooooo.... That too! Much less likely to even come in contact with airborne particles which may have recently bounced off the offending thing.

It's fun to find the most useless, undefendable, and pointless thing to argue for.

Well, it makes sence that with a shorter pole you are less likely to pull it out then hit something then it is that you'll hit it with a longer pole. But everyone knows bigger is better. For example: US declares war against Russia, you would want to have the biggest army, the biggest nukes, the biggest ships and subs, the biggest gold reserves, the biggest alliance, and the biggest chance of winning. Everything thats anything is big, and the bigger it is the more important it is.

I think the whole Russia deal would be based on a "Little Bluff" with a "Little Puff" We are Americans , we are founded upon fear. We have been tricked into fearing everything and we have the "studies" to prove it, and so projecting fear upon others has become second nature. We believe it so you should too , or else!
