Suggestion: Poll before updating
Description: Emi calls for a poll before updating to make sure he knows what his customers (the players) think about it.

Players most positively affected by this update (Virii Infectors, Newbies, Etc): Everyone.

List THREE reasons why these types of players would be positively affected by this update:
1: They feel like thay have a voice.
2: They can actually affect the game.
3: Emi will not be as hateed as he is.

Players most negatively affected by this update (Virii Infectors, Newbies, Etc): Emi (maybe).

List THREE reasons why these types of players would be negatively affected by this update:
1: He cant rule with an iron fist without heavy protests. And I mean more protests then now.
2: He cant say that it was an update people wanted if its proven it was not.
3: It can take time to update.

List as many reasons you can as to why this suggestion should be implemented (Minimum of 2):
1: People would be happy.
2: Emi must listen to people.
3. It will attract more people when they understand that they will be able to affect the game.

List as many reasons you can as to why this suggestion should NOT be implemented:
1: Emi will not be able to rule with his iron fist.

Can Emi please allow votes in the suggestions?

Not at all, I welcome all suggestions. The problem is that there wouldn't be enough votes since 95% of the players don't register on the forums... also there would also be the added work of making and waiting for the poll to gather the votes.

But all in all, a good idea 1

5% of all players are registered on the forums.
About 40% of all players are active.
Thats 20% of all active players. Note: They are also the most active players caring for HP otherwise they wouldnt have registered to the forums.
My suggestion would also attract more people to the forums making even more people

5% of 40% is 2%... By the way, I like the idea.

5% of 40%=2%
5%units out of 40%=12.5%units or 12.5% out of 100%
There is a difference between percent and percent unit.

Simple fix

XX% of people have voted OR xx amount of time has passed.  I would say to give a week so that it gets around to people in the game and possibly gets more people active on the forums.

I cant understand why an update would need to implent instantly. Only bug fixes are important they are up fast.

5% out of all players are active on the forums.
40% ouf of all players are active in the game.

5%=.05; 40%=.4

This means .05/.4 or 1/8 of all active players are on the forums, which is neither 12.5% nor 20%.

Also:
-Not all active players are on the forums
-Not all forum members are active
-You can't tell me you know how many accounts are active and inactive. More made up statistics from you.
-Updates are never instant, I'd think that Sir Emi tests each update for bugs and considers the effect of the update on general gameplay. The problem IMO is that Sir Emi does not have a neutral player and/or testing base that he can "bounce" his ideas off of.

Not fully true.  I have even suggested ideas that would hamper SGP's growth and close the gap faster between SGP and other players.

Still, Arthur has a point about the most active players being registered on the forums and that these are also the ones most interested in improving the game and having a hand in its direction and development. The numbers become moot.

Also, it raises a possible discussion about getting more players actively involved in the game and the forums.
