Well, I've officially lost all chances of ever getting a V100 software without stealing it somehow by the now-impossible to bypass v1,000 PassProt! wonderful! The thing is, it doesn't close the gap... This makes research slower for everyone, but those in the top 20 are affected least because expensive hardware is now a requirement for high-level research, where it wasn't before.
Let's look at an example: Before: Researching a v1000 PW Protect took about 280,000 MHz and 30 days. Now: - - Researching a v1000 PW Protect takes about 10,000,000 MHz and 183 days (half a year). It could be finished sooner, but at a higher cost. (In 30 days, 70THz)
Before: Researching a V100 PW Protect for yourself in 10 days would require 70,000 MHz Now - - Researching a V100 PW Protect for yourself in 10 days would require 1,767,500 MHz (method used for calculation: 5 * 210 hours + 65 * 240 hours)
This makes lower level players dependent on already existing files, because they no longer can make their own in reasonable timespans.

Wow, emi. Great update! Especially since my main server now has nearly 2,000,000 CPU.
So long, HP! There goes the playerbase. SGP may aswell stop researching, we're untouchable now.

Oh, wow. Not to be cynical, but I think I get it. Emi is not-so-subtly encouraging a reset, because that's the only way to close the research gap now that he's effectively made it permanent for this round.

Finally, someone else sees the light. This is also why Emi will most likely ignore this subject, much like Virii Counters. Yes, they were designed for the SERVER LOAD, yet we still had things coming out until today, like finance logs being made for each collection. I laugh in your FACE, Emi. We are not stupid. Stop playing us.

I don't want to talk down on you, cuz I noticed you're in a bad mood today, but is that all ?? There's quite a few servers better than that, below you in the ranks.

I think his point is that with some research taking 13 THz, when a reasonably high player has only 2 Thz. . . Well, research effectively ceases.

I've also got 23 servers, in case you hadn't noticed.

Yeah, but distributed research never worked so hot.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure we can still do slow researches from v.1-to v1 and such!

Forgive me because I'm 99% sure this has already been stated somewhere but I'm too lazy to look it up, but common sense would suggest that a progressive research penalty would be more in order to balance things out....rate of 0.008 per hour < v5,0.007 per hour <v10, etc. and close the gap.
