I thought it was not possible to install Rev virus on public servers. Boy I was mistaken and proven wrong today ...

Well - 48h till the server format - why bother using Faith 1

The protects are up to v16 on those things. The hardware upgrades have to be pretty high as well. It's only a 0.1, though.

Two options: Someone installed it to see what would happen or someone installed it to disinfect it because it takes less time than a delete.

I seriously doubt there's any coordinated effort to effect a reset just yet or they wouldn't have installed it on a secret server that's just going to reformat and IP change.

Maby they simply wanted to bomb someone and knew the server would reformat soon so no one would try to disinfect it.

Except for the fact that you are suppose to be able to install it on any server with protects V1.0 or greater.  And because of the fact the hardware is not updating correctly, you can't do that.
