A player is no longer protected when:
CPU>1100
OR
Bandwidth>10
OR
(not logged in for the last 7 days)

What one can DO on newbie:
- crack him / bounce / modify logs/ download / disinfect / capture / unhide / decrypt / set public / kill process  on the newbie

What one can NOT do on newbie:
- upload / delete / hide / encrypt / install

So you can still bully the newbies, but not that hard...  1

They can kill your processes, but unless someone is feeling extremely mean or has a good reason, they won't. I only kill newbies processes if they're trying to capture my virii, and I only kill that process.

You can have a MAX of 1050 MHz CPU.
You can have a MAX of 9 Kbs Bandwith.
DO NOT get 10Kbs BW if you want to stay under newbie protection.
DO NOT get 1100 Mhz CPU if you want to stay under newbie protection.
the newbie protection standards are for each individual server, so you could have one server which is out of protection and another which is still under it. It depends solely on the hardware of the individual server, not the cumulative hardware of the player.

[gibberish] ... [most of] them [have] the sgp tag on it.

It's also quite easy to rename software so that it resembles SGP software tags. We know the difference.

If you weren't around for Round 1 of this game, you aren't aware of SGP's reputation for doggedly tracking those who dare disinfect their virii. SGP was a group both to fear and respect. SGP claimed server groups as their exclusive territory and publicly posted them to let people know what they were in for if they disinfected or captured the virii there.

Conversely, SGP was dormant during Round 2. We suspect that person or persons currently undisclosed attempted to use SGP's reputation even during that round to inspire fear by creating the rumor that SGP was still around. While it was still around, it was not actively attacking or acting as a group. Members joined other groups and formed their own groups. All this was prior to the group update as well. We kept in contact nevertheless.

The SGP tag used to inspire fear and awe in players, nowadays it seems like the tag is vulgarly used by others to scare people, much like the bogeyman. "Don't mess with this virus or SGP will get you!"

Because of attacks on SGP's servers and the theft of our software as well as the profane use of the SGP tag on other software, the SGP tag is ubiquitous right now. SGP doesn't mind sharing software. SGP does mind its name being misused.

Since it appears that someone is targeting, framing, and/or otherwise defaming SGP's name, I would agree that is time for SGP to take the offensive.

"Be nice" policy? More like a "be aloof" policy.
