It came to my attention that is now far easier to disinfect virii than it is to install them.

My suggestion is for dis-infects to follow the same system as installing a virii does.

thoughts?

I like that idea, but... ;)

...getting close to reality would be to have the removal process take up to 50% more time than installing them, as those buggers like to dig their heels in deep.

not time, i meant AP.

it costs around 107 to install a v2 adware, more to upload it and more aps on top of that to hide it

yet just 20 to disinfect it =/

what about system resources needed to disinfect? It takes 50 CPU to activate a 2.0 adware virus and ~5000 CPU to disinfect...

We can BUY system resources, but we can't buy AP. They're on two entirely different levels. One is potentially unlimited, and the other is incredibly limited. I agree that disinfects should take virus version into account; as it stands, disinfecting the the only real way to make money.

I still think the best way to stop the problems of these poeple disinfecting viriis and others constently remaking viriis is to add more public and secert servers. Or if you dont like that them maybe if all the public and secert servers get more bandwidth and CPU mhz.

The problem isn't that people are disinfecting virii to reinfect the servers - they're disinfecting because there's such a huge payout for only 20 AP.

nah, the viruses payout / hour is much better.

I've been working on trying to even out the upload / install costs and profits
vs.
the disinfect costs and profits

There is a tendency to specialize in virus installation on one part, and virus disinfection on the other. So we're looking at players who will install and those who will disinfect and eat the others viruses.

While monitoring the progress, the disinfect specialists are still losing the battle, probably because they don't have the viruses as passive income. The file share virus seems to be on top of things, even if it lasts a bit less now with new players coming in.

i'm a virus person, and as far as i can see, virii is MUCH better than disinfect, we wait, and make money by our patience, the disinfecters would have to work 34/7 to keep up with us, and also i can encrypt something and no one under a certain power will be able to even touch it, and so we get the better end

Encrypt does nothing to prevent disinfection.

As you are sure to find out.

Well I guess you're correct here seremi.
Its hard to keep up with the virus people since they keep on researching new virus strains and they have the money for it.

i wish.

it takes more and more aps to install virii the bigger and better they get, whilst an anti-virus stays at 20ap's.

all things considered, i will take out the money factor since bigger disinfect missions = more money

In my position, i would be far more inclined to start dis-infecting since cpu power isnt an issue.

an ip change later, and im in a guaranteed money-making cycle.

I don't believe I'm actually about to show the general populace what a great deal virii currently are... Let's take the stats of a .328 fileshare, my old standard, shall we?

A .328 fileshare virus makes 196.8 HPD/hour. Disinfecting this virus takes 43.3 hours. Therefore the total payout for installing this virus is 8,521.44HPD. Installing this virus costs 137 AP.

Disinfecting a fileshare virus also takes 43.3 hours, but the payout is 14321.21. This costs 20AP.

Installing the virus has a payout of 62.2hpd/ap. Disinfecting it has a payout of 716.1hpd/ap. You tell me - which one is a better deal?
